Conclusion

The findings of this study have revealed that the feasts of GOD as recorded in Leviticus 23, not only commemorate His special interventions in the history of humanity, but as it is understood by many Bible scholars, they also make known the divine project solving all human problems, from the beginning to the end of its real execution accomplished by Jesus Christ.
Faith in Jesus as the only Redeemer and obedience to the commandments of the eternal Covenant, constitute the
spiritual seal of the living GOD, the sign placed by the Spirit on the minds of those who believe in the testimony that Jesus gave of Himself and the Father (Rev. 7:3; 9:4; 14:1; 22:4; 12:17). The keeping of the weekly Sabbath and of all the seven annual Sabbaths; the septennial, and the Jubilee, as instituted in the eternal Covenant (Ex. 20:8-11; Lev. 23; Lev. 25), are the visible, readable signature of the LORD on those He redeems and sanctifies through the agency of His unique Son and His Spirit. This identification’s sign is the seal of holiness, of a character that is perfect, humble, gentle and obedient as the one of Jesus.
Furthermore, this study has proved that the seven annual feasts are of the LORD (Lev. 23:4,44,1,2). They are not Jewish but of the Almighty GOD who promulgated them at Sinai as perpetual instructions to be put into practice by His true followers and worshippers in all generations (Lev. 23:14,21,31,41).
No evidence is found in Scripture that the feasts of the LORD have been abrogated by Jesus. On the contrary, many proofs are given that He kept them in a perfect manner, helping, blessing and preaching to people that their redemption was in Him, and leaving us an example to follow. They were neither abolished by the apostles who observed them even decades after the Savior’s death. As the prophets of old, instead, Jesus’ apostles exhorted not to merge elements of the world, traditions of men and false doctrines, with the celebration of the LORD’s feasts (Col 2:8, 16-23). Since the Holy Scripture does not contain any word concerning the abrogation of the feasts of the LORD
at Jesus’ death, and it is the supreme and universal rule for faith and practice, it can be rightly concluded that they remain binding instructions for the true worship that is pleasing the Father, and for the true preparation of believers waiting the final fulfilment of all His promises.
The facts presented in this study bring forth a challenge that we cannot forget or ignore: the defy to transform our faith in action, to demonstrate that we trust and love the LORD enough to put into practice all His commandments. It is true, the first step for our redemption is faith in Jesus Christ, the Son of GOD sent to die to forgive and purify us from all our sins (John 3:16). Yet, the second step, important as the first one, is to respect all the instructions of the eternal Covenant established by the LORD with His people, first national and, then, universal Israel. Putting GOD’s Law as a whole into practice proves that our faith is alive, that we are truly repentant of the trasgressions and committed in the past for lack of spiritual knowledge and human limitations, and that now we want sincerely to obey our Father who is in heaven.
This is the challenge that lays before us and there is no way to forget it or ignore it. If, trusting in our Redeemer, we start to face it also by respecting His appointments, His weekly and annual Sabbaths, His septennial and Jubilee years, according to His promises we will be even more greatly blessed in this existence, during the millenium, and for eternity. This is my sincere wish for us all.
